Default Regarding Notebook Sound-Speakers

Hello all,

Recently I bought a New Dell notebook. And I was playing some music on it and was using default notebook speakersin full volume.

I got one doubt while playing music files. I observed that, there is a little bit of vibration when I play music.

My doubts.

1. Does this kind of vibration effect any hardware of my notebook?
2. Is it advisable to use Notebook speakers in full volume?

Kind Regards
lika

You might blow your speakers if you listen at high volume too often, but No, it will not damage any other hardware.

the speakers on a laptop are the same used on some PC's, so its only 2-3 inches, 2 watts probably

similar speakers to a 13-inch mono tv.

I normally don't expect much for notebook speakers.

If you really feel the need to pump up the volume on your notebook, then I suggest you get yourself some cheap Logitech 2.1 Speakers.

Well, that's only true if the notebook is poorly designed. Companies tend to consider things like this, and only allow a certain amount of power to reach the speakers. In most cases, this will either match the specification of the speaker's capability, or fall just below it.

Of course, there are those poorly designed notebooks out there.

The only thing that I would suggest if you're going to be listening to music at loud levels, is to look after your ears. It seems like common-sense, but you only have one pair.

i agree with Harper....just get some small external speakers.....you'll really be glad you did. even Logitech makes a set of travel speakers that are super small but sound pretty good (probably much better than any laptop speakers).

otherwise, dont worry about the vibration...your cd-rom driving spinning up with your average cd probably makes more vibrations, and that doesnt kill components.

as far as playing at full volume, i dunno. even laptop speakers are pretty friggin loud at certain frequencies at full volume...you shouldn't need to put them up all the way unless your software volume is wayyy down
