Hi all, quick question,

i will be running a laptop in a car in the near future, my laptop requires 4Amp, i will also be running a Gps receiver via USB port (powered by computer) which will require 0.08Amp. I have a car charger which has an output of 3.5Amp so i was wondering would i be able to us this car charger even though it doesnt send enough power through.
Would i be right in saying that the 4Amp the laptop requires is the maximum for things like playing games etc, so if i lowered the processor speed down and turned down the LCD brightness would the laptop still require 4Amps. If this is the case then i would be able to use this car charger.
