I think generally speaking the ATI cards have better looks (red PCB, red shrouding on the heatsinks). the black PCB's from XFX are pretty good looking though.

Also, I quite like ATI's CCC, and their drivers have been working pretty well. About as well for me as Nvidia's drivers have.

I was really planning on getting a 4870, and water cooling for my q6600. But i thought i wasn't gonna be able to afford it for a really long time because i didn't have much work to do. But i was just informed that I'll have a bunch of work to do at a local resort soon because they are having two weddings (one this week and one in like 3 weeks) so after this week i should be able to order my water cooling, possibly even a 4870. Then if i am able to make enough tips and put enough hours in i can get some new ram and maybe even water cool the 4870 (haven't looked into it though) and some new ram. I got the stupid crucial ballistix while they were switching, so i'll get crucial tracers 4gb. Should be quite a month for me.

I was all pumped up (lol) to go for water cooling on my computer at one time.... then I thought about the price to performance gain. Don't consider that "ratio".. lol it will quickly steer you away from setting up a loop.

^lol, i have went threw that already. But i really want to get a kick *** gaming computer. All my comps have been med-high end. If i get water cooling (oc to like 3.8 at least) and a 4870 i should have a pretty **** good build for not a lot of money.
