I am on the verge on buying a HD plasma tv so that I can use it with my PS3, sky hd box in the future etc. I have narrowed my search down to the following 2. Which one do you think is better and why? Thanks for your feedback.

1. Pioneer PDP 427XD
2.Panasonic TH-42PX700CAB (Panasonic UK - TH-42PX700CAB Plasma)

I think theyre both quality makes and the difference in price is only like a hundred quid so im stuck.

Those are the best two brands in plasmas IMO, so I am sure both would be great. The Pioneers review a little better from what I have seen.

You might also want to see how the new 1080p Panasonics review. They should be out within the next few weeks.

i love panasonic plasmas but the one you posted says 1080p but the specs say 1024x768, but it may be only for the pc input, however it doesnt say the rez of 1080p 1920x1080. seems kinda fishy to me. this one also has 3hdmi inputs compared to the pioneer

the panasonic has contrast ratio of 10,000:1 compared to pioneers 3,000:1
but from the website info it seems pioneer has more features. i would take the panasonic because i have had good experiences with their plasams
