| not about computers...but its not spam, i promise! i was wondering if anybody knew which of these dvd recorders are better:
Insignia DVD Recorder from Best Buy (made by Citizen)
Cyberhome DVD Recorder from Wal-Mart
They both cost $120 CDN. |

| Get the one from Best Buy. Don't buy any electronics from Wal-Mart. Companies actually manufacture their products cheaper to sell them at Wal-Mart, so anything you buy from there has a much greater chance of not lasting.

if all i need to do is watch tv/record tv, wouldnt it be cheaper to buy a dvd/vcr combo?
i'll do some reserach to see whats better, and how much money i can waste (max $150) |

| My friend has a DVD/CD-RW combo from wal-mart and that thing is pretty clean. I liek it and im going to get one for myself soon.

| Cyberhome is pretty unreliable, I wouldn't get one. They tend to crap out in under two years and I've seen that the image can "shake" around the edges, like when your monitor's refresh rate is set too low. |

| but citizen and cyberhome are basically the same quality
i have a citizen TV in my basement, 27 inches, and the sound is so crappy...might as well set up a clock radio for external sound!
i dont know much about citizen dvd players though.. |

| Citizen produces electronics for somebody who doesnt have alot of money...bargain electronics basically
the electronics are sold in Canada, but mostly US. |
