Default Newegg Rma

I have to RMA my motherboard to Newegg because the southbridge (or whatever controls the hdd) pooped out on me. On the website, it says all original packaging has to be included....I already threw away the box and other packaging, as it has been over 3 weeks since I bought it. I still have the antistatic bag.

Will they accept it in a different box (well packaged of course) without the gigantic useless setup guide as long as I include the CD-ROM and the accompanying cables?

I always get by with RMA'ing without proper packaging. However I use different suppliers...

grrrrr... who the **** keeps all the packaging for 3 weeks?!?!!? they can't seriously expect all of it to come back, can they? especially when items are warranted for a year!

well, the warranty is thru the company not newegg. So a 15% restocking fee is possible..

anyways... I have the cpu, motherboard, and video card box to my computer... Since October 2004.

pack rat

on a side note, it took about 5 minutes to take my computer apart... so easy to pull it all out vs. installing it

also...i don't have very many anti-static bags. is it okay if i keep the cpu and memory in plastic bags inside the case?

I have packaging for virtually all parts I have here. And I dont even have to use origional packaging.

Most of my parts come OEM anyays, cept mobo's and vid cards.

I have a dorm room and still store all of my boxes. You should definately hang onto them at least as long as the warrenty runs. The only RMA's I've ever done are with all of the packaging.
