Default Need some help spliting a download

Hi,

Ok, scince i have a 56K modem, it would take me over 36 hours to download this one game. So, i have requested that one of my friends donload it, and put it on a CD. But the problem is that the download is 728mb. So what do we do? please help!

pay for the game perhaps

or

overburn the cd... expert features in nero and make sure cd is finalised and done disc-at-once

the download is probably an image, it would fit on a CD if you used burning software

Burn it on an audio CD. It will hold more than a data disk will.

Use a DVD.

if its an image, mount the image and remove a few of the files and put them on a second disk, or just split the thing----->you can do this on any unix based OS

728mb is too big for even an overburn, most Ive ever seen was 719mb, and that number depends on how the size is calculated and presented too.....filesize numbers can be a bit misleading

I overburn 730mb on a regular basis, for assorted backups... never had a problem!
