my mom wouldnt let me get a picture of a computer on my birthday cake but she did agree to let me get my name and age written in binary so...

what is Gordon and 14 in binary

That one is wrong.

16 is 00010000 in 8bit binary, according to that site it is "00110001 00110110" - why is there a space there?

The letter 'A' is 01000001 which is the same to that site though. Do your age seperately in 8bit binary.

I guess it takes "1" and does that in binary, and then does "6" in binary.

nah because 1 in binary isnt 00110001, its 1.

Not quite; it's 49.

"00110001 00110110" translate to 49 and 54, respectively, the ASCII codes for the characters "1" and "6."

Just double checked it... and got 49. (left working out)


1*2^0 = 1
0*2^1=0
0*2^2=0
0*2^3=0
1*2^4=16
1*2^5=32
0*2^6=0
0*2^7=0

I can't work out how I got 97 now.
