Default My Ubuntu review on BestBuy.com...

Friend linked me to ubuntu being sold on Best Buy's website for $20... Started reading some of the reviews and decided to add my own. I screenshotted before I submitted... I wonder if they'll accept it lol...

That is a total rip off.... BUT, I would let it roll. Even if people are paying for it, it will still spread the word of Linux to a lot more home users.

True, but I still don't like Best Buy for charging that much for it. Not like it's gonna go through, and I was bored xD.

Your review isn't up yet, but there is at least one other that says yu can get it for free.

I had to laugh at this moron, though:

Quote:
Pros: Cheap, includes office software, robust
Cons: Doesn't come in Ultimate and Premier editions

"I could go on and on, but Ubuntu Linux is the way to go. I have been using Windows XP for at least 3 years and when Vista was released, I went and upgraded to Vista Ultimate.
Even though Vista Ultimate has some really good features, I had to purchase Office software separately. Total cost of software: ~$1000.00!
That is when I said enough is enough I need to look for a new Operating System. A friend of mine pointed me to Best Buy's site and send me a link to Ubuntu. I purchased the OS and also Installation by Geek Squad for only $150.00. Even though I paid $170, I can tell you the included software was worth it. It includes office productivity software similar to Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Not only that, updates are free. Which means when they come out with a new version of Ubuntu, I don't have to pay more money - which I gladly will if I had to!
I would highly recommend this product. My only question is why doesn't it come in different flavors? I would be willing to pay for features like Media Center and stuff like that.
--Grateful computer user."

Would you recommend this product to a friend?: Yes
Not only did he buy it, but he paid FreakSquad $150 to install it? Let him know I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale...

come on guys, geeksquad is ok here. i mean the cost of wiping all the grease stains off of the computer case from their 3 big mac's had to be at least 200 dollars.. grease stains are hard to deal with. and then they had to wait for ubuntu to download, wait for it to install, call their manager to open the cd drive because they didn't learn how to do that in their "A+" Cert program.. all in all they gave that guy a deal...

You know, I guess I didn't think of it that way, Peter! Thank you for showing me how tough their job actually is! I never would have thought about that kind of stuff they go through...that's just terrible!

The mental (and physical) stress that dude must have gone through opening that CD drive. I really feel for him

I'm gonna post this dude a free ubuntu 8 disk, as a recognition of his hard work
