Out of curiosity... How does one become a moderator? Who decides to make users into moderators?...?

I think having the common sense to put a thread in the right FORUM, would be one of the deciding factors 
I think we all would like to be Mods, including me, but it just takes time and be a decent person all the time  I was member at a forum for 2 years and 4500 posts before they made me Moderator
