Question Mini CD's work with regular CD player?

You know those little gamecube sized discs. Well, I was wondering if you could burn music onto them and if they would be playable in a regualr CD player whether it be in a car or a CD walkman or just a plain old boombox.

the car might not work, but the walkmans work fine. There are the two different size rings in almost all players now, and they just sit in the smaller of the two...
Spincle based units will paly it without trouble.

Okay thanks. Do you know if there is any specific kind of disc I should get. The only mini sized discs I could find are DVD/R or RW and these were meant to go inside camcorders. Is there any other kind or will these discs work fine?

why else would they sell 3 inch CDs if they didn't work anywhere? Heh, I've even bought stamped 3 inch CDs from a record store because artists sometimes put out singles on em. Go to walmart and get some name brand 3inch Cds, which in fact, are not the same as sony's "minidisc". There are CD-R 3 inchers, I have never seen a DVD 3 inch. Also, my old pioneer car deck had a function just for 3 inch discs to play, hit the small disc function and insert the disc, it aligns itself. Usually, there are two grooves in home CD and DVD players, one for a normal 5inch to sit and one for a 3 inch.

I use mini-cds... they're great. A lot easier to handle than full-sized cds and work in all my computers and cd players.
