i just tried to get on the microsoft updates site and i got the message
"Thank you for your interest in obtaining updates from our site.

To use this site, you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later.

To upgrade to the latest version of the browser, go to the Internet Explorer Downloads website."
now i cant get on the site because i got rid of IE and im not putting it on my computer again
what's with microsoft not letting other browsers load there pages, first opera users couldnt get on to msn(i think, it was in an episode of TWIT) thats why microsoft sucks and apple is better...but apple doesnt have the games i want so i dont have one

If you owned microsoft then would you let other customers of another companys use your stuff? It means that you have to use their products. I would do exactly the same thing, get them to use my software, but at the same time **** as many people of as possible. Wouldnt you?

I know its an ***, but i use software that stills lets me do the microsoft updates. Slimbrowser from flashpeak. MUCH better than opera or firefox.

Slimbrowser wont be filtered promise.

Autopatcher....gets all the windows updates without having to go to their site.

Seems to not be affected by the 'genuine advantage' BS either.

Avant browser is way better than opera or firefox IMO...havn't heard of slimbrowser before though

if your using windows xp.. go to start>search>files and folders search internet explorer then go... because im pretty sure you didnt complelty remove IE and if you did then just download it... and if you dont want to download it then your screwed if you want the updates ^_^

question, what is IE? it's just a couple kb file that slaps all the windows component together.. what is slimbrowser? they use the same components just some more features.. The reason why slimbrowser won't get filtered? it's using the same component as IE.. So slimbrowser = IE + popup blocker, tab and a whole set of other features.. but it's core is IE..
