| Math help Ok, im 14 and suck at maths grade D to B in GCSE maths.
And i have a set of questions for homework on MyMaths.co.uk
It's called, solving eqautions with fractions.
Problem is i have no idea what to do and thus cannot get the answers.
Here are the questions:
2x+8 devided by 2=14 and it wants to know what X is x= [ ]
Well thats the first question, i've got a whole heep of these to do

| Re: Math help Heh "maths", silly brits. Thats just good old algebra, solve for x. Wait until you have to deal with calculus in that place yall refer to as "university" (college ) |

| Re: Math help I prefer the sound 'Maths' but your not learning more than one math (plural) so technically it should be Math.
Anyway, schools here go like this. Nursery (below 5), Reception (first 6 months at school) Then primary school, right the way up until your 10. Then college. From 14 till 18 i think. Then University  . |

2(10)+8== 28
Thereby divide it by 2 and you get 14...
Are you really stuck on these?!

| Re: Math help See now when you say it like that math becomes so much [deleted] easier. My math teacher really sucks at explaining. I'm gona right down what you just said. Oh, and it is maths. The English invented the language, i think we know best
Anyway ive completed it now by using an Online Equation calculator, it was hit and miss and i got 42 percent. But meh it's more the fact it saved me 2 hours and a lunchtime detention. |
