So i just bought a new laptop (HP, WinXP Home, BLAH BLAH), and right after i go through and finish the entire setup i get to the desktop. Hmm. Why is there an iTunes icon on my desktop?
Does anyone know why they're preloading iTunes on Windows PC's?
It depends on what type of deal HP and Apple have. It wouldn't suprise me if it was preloaded.
I actually think its a good idea.

Yep. I don't know exactly where the whole thing is going, but I do know there is going to be an HP branded iPod. I suspect it will be a good thing for the companies...I don't see what advantages and/or disadvantages it could bring to the consumers of Apple and HP.
But anyway, why is having iTunes preloaded a bad thing? I particularly like the media player personally.
