it might be best to just go to the nbc website or cbs or some other news site and do a search from there, if you go to google or something, you'll probably get a lot of unwanted results..

Do you have access to a university library where you are? That is mainly where you will find the statistics you need is in their journals. Psychology, sociology and criminology would be main areas of investigation. This is a subject I feel very strongly about and have done alot of research into it myself. It is a very difficult topic to research on the net because with child-filters enabled on search engines you cannot locate information but with child filters off search engines pull up alot of child-pornography sites
I have a personal MSN group where I have been sorting/compiling information I have gathered in regards to all of this. You are welcome to peruse it.
