Default I Ate Cement

Well last night went riding at one of our local tracks and came over a jump on the 2nd lap sideways and thats about all i remember. Two guys came and helped me up got my bike started and rode back to my truck. Looked over my bike and i bent my exhaust, handle bars, and broke my front number plate off. I called my mom told her what happened she said i needed to get to a hospital since their is a big chance of internal bleeding. We loaded up everything my buddies took me to the ER. Got there at about 9:30 didnt leave until about 2:00 am everything seems ok i had a concussion and my neck and my back is really painful. Sad thing was is when i was in the hospital my mom said i was asking how my bike was and not how i was lol. Anyways i cant wait to get back on my bike and since i cant go anywhere im playing some pc games for sure lol.

Heh i know the feeling. I assume you wear full protection when you ride or you wouldnt be posting today. I took a dump like that on my mountain bike a few years ago. Went off a big jump and landed on the front wheel but just a hair cocked and taco'd the front wheel which sent me over the bars face first into the dirt, and as i was using clipless pedals the bike got to follow me. Pedal smacked me in the head, put a huge dent in my helmet. Made me glad i wear one. The fun part was getting to deflate the tire, bang the wheel straight enough to ride home and reinflate it. Nothing like riding 6 miles home on a rim that was at a 90 degree angle a few minutes earlier.

Moral of the story: kids where your helmet

Did you have a good chest protector on? If so, there isn't that much concern for internal bleeding, unless you take a really hard fall. From your description you had an "average" digger.

Crashing sucks, but it's the thrill of avoiding such things that makes racing so awesome.

Yea I did the same thing about a month ago. Just came up short on an 80 foot double. Flipped over the bars and basically broke my wrist. Snapped the visor on my helmet, broke the clutch perch & lever, bent handlebars, and some cuts/scrapes on my elbows & legs. Blacked out for about 10 seconds and saw stars after that

My mom always said the bike, gear, etc. can be replaced - you can't.

Man, that must have sucked. An 80 foot double gives you a good amount of air time to say OH $&#*!
