personally, i would choose number 2. i like the hardware better, the design better, and i prefer medium frets over jumbo frets. unforunately, i have zero experience with either guitar so I'm not of much help.

2 does have a better design. I like the darker neck as well and the design on it. The other one seems sort of plain.

As far as fret sizes, well naturally that's up to you. Naturally the more expensive one should be slightly better, but the first one isn't bad either. I suppose if you can actually learn to use that whammy bar and make full use of the floating bridge then you'd be able to produce sounds on that guitar that you wouldn't be able to on the second one.

I don't care for either but if I had to choose between the 2 I'd choose number 2. As for me this is what I'd rather have: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...tar?sku=517966 IMO you can't beat the Cherry Red Sunburst if I ever get a new guitar this will be it. Right now I have an old Ibanez I bought from a pawnshop along with a really cheap amp, I need a better guitar and amp....and to learn how to play guitar.:o

If you go on looks alone, get number 2. The trans-black flame top is pretty nice.

Go for #2

I have a floating tremelo on my Jackson and its really more of a headache than anything. It makes replacing strings more of a chore, tuning is definitely harder. You need to get it setup if you want other non-standard tunings...

Luckily my fingers dont sweat at all when I play so I dont have to change strings that often.
