Default how have microprocessors changed the world?

hello, I'm writing an essay about an invention that "changed the world." So i chose the microprocessor. The essay needs to be persuasive, so i need good ideas/examples of how it has changed the world, for the better.

Thx for your time =) Your input is much appreciated.

no. Plus, without the microprocessor, personal computers would of never been invented and thus, there would be no computer for the internet.

microprocessor>internet.

No microprocesssors = no video games, no computers.

Think of the Apple II (6502), IBM PC (8088), and the NES (also 6502).

Haha... umm, you just said it? Pick anything to do with a computer that has had a major effect and focus on it... or use Google--Google knows all, you know?

To put it simply, a variety of tasks, which otherwise needed human supervision, could be completed simply be entering a variety of code or instruction for the core to process and carry out

The processor eliminated the need for certain jobs people would previously do in the past themselves, and increased productivity and efficency with less manpower.
