how fast 50cc?

I am thinking about getting a 50cc Gas powered scooter but I don't know how fast they go. I was also wondering if they don't go about 70mph is there a way to make them>?

No they won't. 50cc is a bike that little kids ride.
You'd probably have to step up to 100 and higher to even consider those speeds.

I saw a 50cc online just now that will do 40mph. There is no way to mod it or anything to go faster then that?

I guess they range cause I just found another that goes 50mph and it was a 49cc.

I have two 70cc motorcycles as well as a 50cc motorcycle, neither will do above 45. If you want to go up to 70mph or higher, you will need to go with at least a 125cc.

ok I don't want to go above 50cc cause then I need a motorcycle permit which I don't want to get. I know I don't need a motorcycle but I don't want to get the motorcycle permit. If I get a 50cc or below I don't need a motorcycle permit.

Unless you go 125cc or above you'll be stuck in the 50mph and under club.
