Default how come when I burned a CD mix from other Cds, it sounds like poo

I extracted a bunch of songs of vaious Cds and burned them all onto 1 CD. It sounds horrible, the treble sounds ringy, and the louder it is the worse it sounds. A couple songs I downloaded of Kazaa sounded fine, but the ones off other CDs are the worst. What caused this.

What program did you use to *cough*backup*cough* your CDs and convert, and then burn to CD?

Default Something was done wrong, huh?

You might put in some more info, like how you are copying and burning, what programs you are using, etc.

If its the WMA format, then that could explain it a bit. That format is a little fussy on how you set it. The ones I ripped off of CD sounds like crap.

try manually extracting the files from CD and just burn those files. use cdEX a free music ripping program. the URL is http://www.cdex.n3.net/ . rip the songs to .WAV and just drop them onto your CD in your burning program. also try reinstalling your burning program to see if that fixes it. delete the WAV after you burn the CD

That may suggest a low bitrate. Use EK's suggested program...Wave files sound MUCH better anyway...
