It's just something to scare you

If you are going to get busted downloading this kinda crap, you are not going to know until their busting in your door pointing guns at your head.

Don't mess with pirated software, you can learn on free C++ and java compiliers.

OEM means it doesn't have all the fancy packaging and it doesn't have the manuals.

Like Chris said, the downloadable copy is like $55 and the CD is $90...or somewhere in there. All OEM.

With Microsloth, nothing is free.

Give 'em a couple of months, and they'll try to patent air...

it's a scam
it is completely normal for your IP and browser to be shown.
your browser has to tell the server what your IP is, otherwise no server would know where to send data.
that is how the internet works!
often it also tells the server what the browser is, for compatibility reasons.

the server doesn't actually report your IP, it simply sends you a page which, when you download it, will find out what your IP and browser is and, simply show it in the page. it is completely harmless
