Default help on deciding what my first car should be

im 16 turning 17 and i need to be thinking about my first car now. i liked the peugoet 106 or the citroen saxo but lots of teens have them, i would like another sporty/can be done up car thats in the same price range and would be suitable for a first car... i dont know much about cars so i really do need some help here

it can be on ebay or internet sale sites.

Thanks a bunch i know nothing about cars lol

Whatever you do, don't get a Ford Mustang because:

Mustang = rice.

Just as mac_mogul.

Get a classic or a muscle and do a frame up restoration. No, wait...that's too much work for kids nowadays.

Chevrolet Cavalier.

They are the perfect first car. Cheap to buy, cheap to run, good on gas.

Get one made in 1996-2002. The older ones and the 03-05 ones look ugly.

I'd get a Corolla, Starlet, Sunny or Colt.
