I don't get how the cellphone and ethernet have anything to do with this... the ethernets not plugged into the cellphone from what i see. How does the cpu recognize that the phone is hooked up when there is no wire connecting it?

i dont know if its true or not but what hes saying with the network cable is that the signal from your phone will jump through the network cable and then into your pc.

I tried it too. Nothing happened when I plugged the ethernet cord in... Just the same old "Your ethernet cable is not plugged in" message.
