Default Haggling with AOL

Has anyone ever tried haggling with AOL? Especially people in the UK.
I heard you can knock off atleast £10 if not more on the monthly bill, apparently you pay extra for the AOL exclusives, AOL music and all that [can anyone confirm?].
I'm considering haggling for the 8mb as £24 for 2 mb is ridiculous.

Thoughts guys?

I personally don't like AOL. But a few months ago I actually had AOL's trial service for like two months. I 100% hate their software and since it was dial-up I had to have the AOL dialer installed.

When I called to cancel, they started offering me something like 6 extra months for free. I don't know how much they are willing to give to keep costumers.

You should tell them that you are considering getting another ISP. They will definitely offer you something to stay with them.

Haggle with them? Are you serious? You can't even cancel an account in under an hour with them.

Read the article.

I've tried to get my cellphone bill cheaper. It's currently $40 per month. I wanted little to no minutes, but I did want caller ID and voice mail. Took my cellphone's entire monthly minutes just to get them to make my account cost $34 per month.

Haha Homer.
It's like 9:45 PM right here, will give AOL a call tommorow and will post whatever I can find. My goal is to get a under £20 8 mb broadband.

Keep posting experiences and thoughts!

I only use my cellphone as a clock, and to surf the net sometimes. I rarely call people on it. I use about 20 minutes per month.

Yes, i should just get a watch, or a Mini PC, tablet PC, whatever. But they're $500.
