|  which graphics card is better?
i recently purchased a dell inspiron 9300 and have a ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 64MB graphics card. however i also have a GEFORCE MX4000 128MB graphics card in my desktop. i would like to know which card is better and if i can exchange the cards if the geforce is better for the laptop? |

um you can't just "trade" graphics card between laptops and desktops

Can't trade and usually you can't upgrade, although some Dell's and other laptops are capable.
Neither card is that great, although at least the x300 supports newer versions of DX. Assuming that your laptop's grafix card uses integrated/shared memory, the mx4000 is going to be better I'd say.

but not 9.0c (with smartshader 3.0), only the 6*** cards and above can support it http://www.club-3d.nl/product_guide_...&gpu_brand=%25
those are the cards specs.
the X300 has 4 pipes and a 400MHZ core, against the MX4000's 2 pipes and 350MHZ core
