Default Digital camera memory card slots, in PCI card form?

Is such a thing possible? I don't have a printer downstairs because I share the printer upstairs via network. The upstairs printer however has the slots built into the printer to upload the images from a digital camera memory card.

Is there any way shape or form to get those slots on my computer despite the fact it does not have a printer? Perhaps a PCI card form? Maybe some kind of USB adapter?

you could use the usb cable that came with your camera. (or buy one if you dont have it) and plug the cmera directly to the comp and download them that way. thats the way I do it cause I do not have a card reader. I do know ther are ide ones that you could install it the fromt of your computer but usb is easier.

I'll have to take a closer look at my camera to see what kind of port it has... unless you know offhand what kind of particular port Nikon uses??
