Default Demonoid on the way back...?

Article on TorrentFreak talking about how Demonoid's trackers are active again, and lead back to the Ukraine.

Last two paragraphs of the article:
Quote:
The new host of inferno.demonoid.com is the Ukrainian ISP Cocall Ltd, while the frontend of the site still remains in the US. Again, there is no official explanation for the return of the tracker, although many hope that it’s a sign that the site will be fully up and running soon.

Last December, Demonoid’s founder Deimos spoke about the future of the site: “Money is an issue, but the real problem at the moment is finding a suitable place to host the website. There has been no luck there.” Perhaps he now found his safe harbor in Ukraine?

Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

We can hope! Demonoid will not be taken down, especially not without a fight!

I remember hearing some thing last month how the tracker has been reactivated. However I will believe it when I see it.

Dunno...they could have... It's a private torrent tracker site; one of the best that was around, and they got forced to shut down.

Yeah, Harper. The article says that their trackers were up for a little bit a few months ago or so, but went back down. The activity coming out of the Ukraine is new, though.

It really isn't a private site as ISO Hunt and other sites indexed Demonoid and you could download the torrent even if you were not a member of the site. Which takes away the private status. You could not however download the torrent from the site unless you were a member. But it was easy to find their torrents thru a Index Site. Avoid that situation easily. Plus didn't have to live up to the Ratio rules going thru a Index site either.

One can hope for their return. I know many people loved them. I used them on occasion.

Big Thanks to Trotter for the HDD. Big Thanks to CarnageX for the Video Card. Big thanks to Saxon, without you none of this would be possible.

Well a partial private-torrent site then xD.

And you didnt have to live up to the ratio rules through demonoid directly, either. Bitcomet never once tracked my ratios right, and I d/l'ed directly from demonoid all the time.
