| Re: Dell Sales Scandal Quote: Originally posted by BleepTheMan! Came across this while searching for car parts. It's an interesting read. Seems the police are now involved. Anyone know this shotty Dell rep? Apparently you can get in big, big, big trouble for giving out discounts.
Anyways. Read it. Sorry. My first post. Long time lurker. http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.p...threadid=96856
Post the link around, spread the word. Hope "oddjob" doesn't visit these forums informing 50% off retail. | ............if he buys the laptop from dell with his own discount and then resells it, it's perfect legal, *******
btw, i know someone that works at honda and bought a car with employee discout and then resold it to a friend..

I stopped after the first full page and it had been 2 months since he paid the guy 50% ($665) of the whole price and he hasn't recieved jack, not even the refund he asked for. I would agree that the buyer is dumb for buying something like that through some random person online, but I'd advise him to try to get the cops involved, too. Hopefully save his too-trusting *** if he's lucky.

| You know what I find odd about that situation?
The guy who ordered and payed for the laptops... Drives an M3...
WHY IS HE PURCHASING BARGAIN BASEMENT DELLS???
You'd think that with that kind of money he would buy something nice?
Or at least he would be smart enough to just order direct from Dell...

| Heh, sorry I doubted you for not reading more than the first couple posts D2. After reading the last two pages, I would still say some authorities might need to get involved. It looks as if he'll get his refund and the guy is legit... but why the **** is it taking so long? Even in legitimate business you SHOULD provide refund/service in a timely manner.
That whole situation is just pretty FUBAR. I don't see how you could put your trust in someone offering such a deal when you have never met them in your life. I would only trust my BEST friends or family with some crap like that.
Haha mogul... I also noticed that he was obviously looking for a deal on a laptop, yet he drives an M3... WTF?! lol
