k, im new to this forum... i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get a custom avatar because ive seen them but when i go to change mine... all i c are the ones that the site offers...

You can put in a link to an avatar that you find online, or (what I prefer) upload an image from your computer.

I prefer the upload option because a web page can change or vanish. You can always save the image you want to your comp, then upload it.
