odor...of various sources is a sign of bad hygiene....I smell like a flower.

use some of those medicated powders...gold bond or something?

old shoes will inevitably harbor inordinate amounts of fungi after a time....throw shoes out after a while...maybe no longer than 5 years

Foot odor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

check out the article for it...
"thick, cheesy smell"
"People grow up believing foot odor is unpleasant" <-- not sure about you, but I would think cheesy feet would be unpleasant in any society

lol

go get some dessicate packs, and either fill the shoes with baking soda...or those medicated talc things
