Personally, I think this is a brilliant invention.

Hands-on Review: Brando's Warming Mouse

My office is not something I'd describe as warm. In fact, for six months out of the year it's so cold I have to run a space heater just so my limbs don't seize up and freeze.
While Brando's USB Warmer Mouse II won't keep my entire body nice and warm, it's actually been doing a good job at keeping most of my right hand nice and toasty.
The mouse is a swooping semi-ergonomic design that features the usual bells and whistles (800dpi optical sensor, USB connector, scroll wheel, etc.). But on the cord a few inches from the mouse itself you'll find a simple on/off switch. When pressed it activates the Warmer Mouse's internal heater, which rapidly warms to about 100 degrees Fahrenheit (I measured it with a laser temperature probe), plus or minus 20 degrees, depending on where you measure the temp on the mouse... and it's all through the USB connection.
100 degrees is just about hot enough to provide a bit of warmth without being uncomfortable. Frankly I could have used a few more degrees, but that may be just a personal preference.
Cool idea (no pun intended), and for a mere $23 it comes at an excellent price. For your next trick, Brando, how about a heated keyboard? My left hand is about to fall off!
