I caught that in the evening news earlier and the first thought was a publicity gimmic more then anything there. You would likely find that a stunt to boost ratings on his show more then anything to count on.

You have to have a lot of political capital as well as financial support to even running for office. I don't think you or I have the celebrity status Reagon and Arnold had either.

J.F.K. was 35 when he won the 1962 election over Nixon. A good reference for the various positions reads:

Who Can Be President?
Someone who is

1) a natural-born citizen of the U.S.
2) at least 35 years of age
3) a resident of the U.S. for at least 14 years.
