Hmm, interesting. I'd only get the things you actually want (unless you're rich, of course)...'cause things like the ZIP drive would almost be useless/and are fading quick.

And pricing in general--some are good, some are ok, and some are pretty over-priced...I'd look around at different places (eBay is a good place to start), or pricewatch.com. Of course there are many computer-part dealers on the web.

But it pretty much looks like you know what you're doing...so there really isn't all too much to help with!

If U r a hardcore gamer, invest on a good graphics card.
This is the most important part for gamers.
With FX5200 U would be able to play the present games at low settings. But when newer games like Doom3 would be introduced,it would simply fail.
Go for Nvidia Fx5950 or better still ATI Radeon 9800pro.

Investing on Zip drive is a complete waste of money(unless U really need that) When U have a DVD Writer.

As far as the Motherboard is concerned Go for 865 or 875 model.
Avoid 845 model mobos. They are outdated.

*catches breath* OK! I think I have the final specs for the computer I am going to be building here in about a month, if I'm lucky prices will have taken another drop by the and I can get my stuff for just over $2000!

Thanks for all the help, and feedback is still appreciated!

Cool "Enter the Motherboard..."

I'd think it would be better if you get a AMD Athalon XP instead of a P4. Not that the P4 is bad or anything, it's just that the Athalon is more of a gamers processor. That just my opinion.

U would get more feedbacks if U post in the Hardware Zone.

Btw,If I were U,I would go for an AMD Processor.
They are better performers than those of Intel and come at a lower price.

ya, I realize that, since the computer I'm using now is an AMD Athalon XP, but I have yet to own a P4 and that's what I want. I appreciate it anyway!

Btw has anyone here ever used one of intels HT processors? That's what I'm getting and I'd like to know if you noticed an improvement in it.
