| Binary explosive... scary stuff Came across this video tonight. Just think what an iPod stuffed with this could do... especially if the individual wanted to die when it went off (as in no fuse). http://www.metacafe.com/watch/289485...t_scary_stuff/ |

| Im serious. But I thought that the Pole would have gone to....
I seem to remember something somewhere that suggested/stated that the combination between some element and H2O would produce a large explosion.
I thought it was potassium or something. I dunnue remember. Can anyone confirm or link me to the proper chemical reaction? |

| Na, sodium. It is extremely explosive when brought into contact with water.
Back in school, we decided we needed to find a 5 pound block of it, strap it between our drafting/architecture teachers legs, and chuck him off the Tennessee River bridge. Never found the sodium, though... |

| Ya, the sodium is big. We purified it from pot ash, took something like 30 lbs of pot ash just to get a half handfull of sodium Threw it in a stock tank. It blew a hole in the stock tank. very nasty.
As for the binary - I WANT SOME!!!!! I would never have to cut down a tree again

| lithium blows in water also. We used to take the batteries from the SINGAR(military) radios and pull back the plastic on them and throw in rivers.
