Default autocomplete

Does anyone know how to delete stuff from the autocomplete?
When i type in www.(any letter) -- it gives me a dropdown of all the sites ive been to. I tried deleting the history, but that didnt work. I know that i can just take the autocomplete option off... but i want it (i just want to delete some sites )

thanks in advance

I've always simply deleted the .dat file that exists for each user. However if you wish to removed a selected number of sites and retain a selected number of sites, try this piece of freeware
