Ive been learning french for 4 years at school. And i suck, no chance of haveing a conversation or even understanding anything a french person says except stuff like 'hello, thankyou'' i seem to just forget it all.

Whats ur target grade? I did french and german in year 10 and i got 2 A*s

I did German for 8 yrs and am continuing it in college. I wouldn't sweat the grammar too much. Its fairly similar to english except in some instances things are switched. Just think of it like this: If you were to translate exactly what you were saying in German to English w/o making it sound phonetically correct, you would sound like Yoda.
