Default All Posters Should Read

I've been a member of tech-forums for a little whjile now, and have done my share of contributing. However, on alot of posts people do not use proper punctuation. (Periods, commas, etc...) I'm not a teacher or nothing like that, but this makes things very difficult. When someone posts something that is one big run-on sentence, it is rather difficult to properly decipher what you're saying. People also abbreviate in ways that noone else knows, and things of the like nature. I'm just saying that I think people should use periods and commas in their posts, as it will make it easier for us to figure out what you're saying and also give you an accurate diagnosis of the problem.
Thanks

these kinds of posts have been made before about people using ebonics, no punctuation, or otherwise bad grammar. No one will read it and if they do, no one will bother actually attempting to type correctly.

I blame it on society

When I was in school we had typing programs and things like that.

Now you see kids typing

My compo0ter is 4 my cuzin and I cnt figure out how 2 doo that ting where you turn it awn? NE1 no how 2 do it?

meh it bugs the **** out of me

Thats exactly what it is. I know people arent gonna change the way they type simply because of a post, but I thought i would give it a shot. I changed the way I typed, from ebonix like to actual typing, cuz of a girl. I didnt want her to think I was a loser, so I changed my typing. It helped other places too though, makes typing things a whole lot easier. Now I dont really have to go back over things too much to check for typing mistakes. It also makes my typing faster. On a deeper level, if you improve yourself in a small way (like typing) things will compound on it and you will slowly start changing other things in your life to a better extent. I know this is a tech forum and I went on with the psychology stuff, but this is how I feel.

<-----theres that cuz stuff I was talking about lol.....whatever bappened to because or even if you want to be lazy which even I do at times 'cause' is just as efficient...but CUZ!?! That's ebonics.

Anywho, I was taught to type and to type well from an early age, but beyond that, I never typed things short like 2 instead of to or too, or NE1 instead of anyone...just makes you look uneducated........I don't know how people fall into that crap, but I guess it's simply because it's those people who don't know how to type.

I type about 80wpm or 100wpm if I were to be going fast and having something dictated to me......I guess when you type fast, know the keyboard, and can type without looking at the keyboard, you aren't pecking at it, searching for letters and wanting to take ridiculous shortcuts.

I like having conversations with people in the other room, not looking at the monitor and still spelling most words right and being able to type somewhat fast. In school here we had a couple years of typing where we had to follow a book and a program on the computer, if we screwed up we would get docked points, but still most of the people here don't type correctly and it bugs the heck out of me. I mean, it's not that hard to type any word without screwing it up. My brother will butcher every word he possibly can whenever he uses an IM. Sometimes I just feel the need to hit him upside the head. Grrrrrr.
P.S. When I said, I just feel the need, it reminded me of..."I got the need, the need for speed." I don't know why. Sorry, I'll shut up now

Excellent calling me on those little mixups. Hey, nobody is perfect. I used to type with all the numbers in place of words, but, as I said earlier, I changed my method of typing. Apparently I still have some things that need to go.

I don't care if someone doesn't use proper grammar, puncutation and all that...

I just don't take them seriously.

Effort gets effort.

I don't see how anyone can find leet more efficent than just typing stuff out properly. I type a lot, and I have to present myself in a professional manner. I try to carry that professional manner wherever I go as the way you type online is basically the first thing people are gonna judge you by.

That said, you don't need university essay language in your posts, but there should be at least an effort made to present yourself intelligently.
