Last saturday night....

Now we all know that every one has there circle of freinds. I currently have 2 of them that i currently hang out with a lot. Some people might have more, other people might only have the one circle. However what ever the case may be, rarely to freinds mix. You get Group A and mix them with Group B, and normally you get the phone and emails from members of each group saying "Why you hang out with that group of D**K heads?"

Anyways, this all start with last week end where I was hanging out with my anon friends. Long story short there was that I was being a shoulder to cry on for one of the female members, however there was no way I was even thinking about getting into bed with her.
a :- She was far from good looking
b :- She got issues
c :- Every one else in the group was warning me that she was bad news as she has a bad track record of screwing people over.

Anyways, fast forward to last saturday night. In the afternoon, i get a phone call from one of my anon friends warning me that this girl from last week wants my number and she was asking if I was going to be in the city that night.
I replied that i had other plans with my non-anon friend. Oringally this was the case.So I am on the bus heading into the city. I knew my anon friends where in the city, and i was avoiding certain street just incase I bumped into them. Mainly 'HER'. Meet up at the shopping plaza with my non-anon friends.
About 60 seconds meeting up with my non-anon freinds, my anon freinds happen to suddenly show up. My anon friend say "Dude. If (insert name) better not find out that you are here."
And this is where i messed up. I figured that i would leave the shopping centre.
About 5 minutes later i SMSed my non-anon freinds back saying that I would like to meet up. However in some other location.
I get a reply, but from my anon friends telling that "(insert name) was not in and that it was safe for me to be in the city". So i head back to the shopping plaza expecting to find my non-anon friends. However i bump into my anon freinds instead. So here I am having a quick chat to them about things. They were going to have dinner some where. I was telling them that i all ready had plans that night but i would see them off.
About 3 minutes later, i get this sms from my non-anon freinds saying "Hello Grandpa. I can see you are with the kiddies". Some of my non-anon freinds do find Anonymous rather childish. Yes, they are. However the group that I normally hang out with are actually level head and mature minded, even though they are 5 years younger than me.

So I am in the process of replyign to this "mature" sms when my phone rings. It's one of my clients. They are going on holidays on monday, and they just found out that there was some thing messed up with thier CCTV system.
Client :- I need some help with the CCTV System at the warehouse. I can not seem to log on.
KBCB :- (try trouble shooting this over the phone. Mean while i was ignoring my call waiting signal)
KBCB :- Looks like there is some thing wrong with the CCTV server. I can come over tomorrow and have a look at it.
Client :- I need you to look at it tonight. I am busy enough as is with this holiday.
KBCB :- Okay. Look if saturday night, and you want me now. I am going to need to ask $220 per hour minium 2 hours work.
Cleint :- Sure. No problem. I can understand that.

So I am on the train heading out to my client's warehouse. During the trip I call up my non-anon freinds telling them that i got to do some work for a customer of mine. My freind Luke was cool about the entire thing. But my other friend Uldis was not.

Anyways, 2 hours and $440 in my pocket later i fix up the CCTV system. Knowing my non-anon friends, they would of all ready been out of the city long ago. So figured i go to the pub and have a few drinks and meal.

Sunday morning, I send a SMS out to non-anon freinds apologising for having to leave like that. Anyways I get this reply from Uldis in the afternoon saying "Currently up the north coast having a good time. i did not want to bother you last night as you did not even say Hi to me"

And this as gotten me thinking "WTF dude? I got stuck working last night"
This as got me a little annoyied. Like first of all, I am have seen some of uldis stunts from time to time when he's sobar, and not much more mature that some of my anon freinds when they are drunk.
Secondly, I got called out and my client was giving me "cash in hand".

I am trying to work out if i should even bother reply back to uldis or whether i should just ignor it.

As any one else been in situation where they have been getting 2 groups of freinds that are don't mix in the same place.

I was usually the oldest of my circle of friends in school. I also have another circle of friends from church. These two do not mix, but my friends from school have scattered to the winds now so I don't have much overlap anymore.

people with juxtaposing social groups are strange...really to me...but just my opine
it's like a female that dates jerks but supposedly likes nice guys...something taint quite right

that said, that's one reason why I hang out with nobody and proudly always say I have no friends...too many people are losers in one way or another to me...moral sense

I'm a loser in that I am not rich...that sucks...but I have outstanding morals and hold everybody up to it

I have alot of different group friends, some bible nuts, some drug heads. Each group has different views and our morals dont match but that doesnt make them losers. No offense but if you cant be friends with anyone because they dont think exactly like you, then I htink that make you the loser.

QFT! I have many friends with different viewpoints than mine... some of them radically different. Instead of spending our time arguing over them, we focus on our common ground. Our differences can even help us to be better friends, as one can balance the other and keep them on an even keel.

Of course, there are always those few who choose to be obnoxious about their viewpoint. I don't keep them as friends, period. If I want to be railed on I could find a debate to do it in, not from a "friend". Life is too short for that BS.

As for the viewpoints thing. I am a perfect example. EricB and myself have argued relentlessly over Vista and XP. Yet we are still very civil with each other and have respect for each other cause we can look past this difference of opinion. We have gone out of the way to help each other on several occassions despite our difference of opinion on matters such as which is hte better OS and such minor things.

Anyone will be hard pressed to find someone who thinks like them. That is what free will is all aobut.

Out of my non-anon friend, Luke seems to be the most sympathetic / understanding to why I am with these people and why I am doing what i am doing.

nah...people want to hang out with me and be like me...but I don't want to do the same

You would most likely follow me around and get me to hang out with you...now that is...nah wouldn't say it, hehe

oh, and I would think a drug head is a loser...but that's just me saying. I am judgemental and proud of it.

Judgemental is judging...good or bad...people only like to make it a bad thing when you aren't complimenting them...but if you do it's ok...if you "judge" them, then it's not

so you can be as you are, and people can be as they are...I just choose not to hang out with whoever for the reasons I have...it's amazing right? A guy like me can have my thoughts...and not be like yours! I think it's ok? You don't though right?

i had a group of friends that i spent most of my time with, then a lot of them went in directions with their lives that I don't understand and don't want to understand. I've told them that I don't agree with what they do, but its to the point where their lives have been consumed by it, and I don't put in the effort to spend time with them as I won't get nearly the same amount of effort back from them. So I started to hang out with a friend who recently moved back here from Cali, and I've been spending tons of time with her, and were together now but that's a different story, and I've started to hang out with her group of friends partly because I like them and they are fun people to be around, but also because 80% of my old group of friends are just such bimbo's that I can't stand to be around them. There happens to be some cross over though because I still enjoy hanging out with a couple people from that group, but whenever we hang out they invite the people that I hate and I usually just make my feelings known that I don't want to be around the other people for acceptable reasons, and I'll leave. I get **** for hanging out with the other group cause the people I used to hang out with would say **** like, '' Oh, you're too good for us now is that it?" And I basically want to tell them that I'm better than them and actually have a future that doesn't involve me resorting to undesirable professions... And what I mean by that is most of the people I used to hang out with are not going to go to college, or think that they are going to go from a C student in high school to graduating from college and getting a job that will get them a brand new car, a real nice house and a hot pin-up model wife right away, or they think life is like high school where you can turn around and live with your parents and take their money if the going gets tough..
