meh, things can get blurry at that distance, so i still assume it's 8 planets, possibly 9/10..

among other astronomers who will argue that because it is so far off, it is not entitled to be called a planet at all
how the **** does distance determine something being called a planet or not. If it revolves the sun, no matter how freakin far away, it should be considered a planet.

If it's revolving pluto, then it's a moon....if it were to be revolving the sun it'd be a planet

What about asteroids and junk?
I think this thing is a planet if it is round becaus it had enough gravity to do that when it was formed, asteroids are large but are mis shapen blobs.
Also that said on the news it is bigger that pluto so it should be considered a planet so I think this is our 10th

interestingly enough hackers spead up the announcement of the 10th planet...

...the planet was detected back in January (from pictures taken in 2003...

I thought they were thinking that Pluto really wasn't a planet after all.

Last I heard, Pluto was denounced as a planet.

Right now...it's a big MAYBE.

But I LOVE astronomy.

Great..... another planet is the far reaches of space.

What the likelywood of putting a man on Mars in this life time.
I alway chuckle at movies like 2001, 2010, Space 1999 and some of the stuff from the original Star Trek Time Line.
