| Just to clarify a few things to everyone. When you go to the websites that Mike just posted, you will get your ISP assigned IP address. This is your "external" IP address that connects you to the world of the internet. When you use the IPCONFIG utility that Larry posted, you will see your "internal" IP address, the IP addresses located within your own personal home/office network. In order to effectively troubleshoot any connectivity problems it is important to know the difference between these two types of IP addresses. |
