Default redundant network servers

I'm looking to provide high availability, high utilization, and lower TCO by creating a virtual environment. I went crawling through the internet looking for a virtual san that performs block level replication. It looks like open-e.com has software to do this. They host a free offering that i'm planning to try out. Here's a tutorial for anyone else feeling frisky.
