Hi, when i was on the internet this morning it opened a tab by itself and tried to make me install some anti virus thing, then it tried to scan my computer and obvously installing virus's/malicious software whilst doing it, i closed it and ran my AVG anti virus, it didnt find any sort of virus/trojans or anything of the sort,

It's just a potential scam. If it showed it "scanning" your computer it was probably just a pre-rendered animation built into the pop-up, which is why you found nothing on AVG. I would make sure your pop-up blocker is turned and and working, if I were you, or just avoid that internet page which hosts the pop-up.

it pops up on any internet page and its happened 2 times on this forum, ive ran a registry cleanup program which my friend sent me called Abexo, ill post again if it carries on, thanks for your advice.

Also, if you can find the "Ad-Aware Free" by Lavasoft, it is a very good spyware removal program. Like you said, if it is popping up from random pages, it isn't linked to a website anymore, but infact is something on your system and is not a virus.

Please post the log after you run the stuff in that guide. Who knows maybe something in there will clean up this issue before you post the log.
