I am using my roommate's laptop and he really wants me to get his computer problems fixed. Before I took his laptop, it was already heavily infested with spywares and if he does a search in google, it always gets redirected to another website. But before I went on to fix his, his internet connection is pretty ok. But yesterday after I did a comprehensive spywares and viruses clean-up, the internet slows down to my surprise but all his other problems like random pop-ups and being redirected to another website are gone. I used Kaspersky 7.0, spyware doctor the full version and a registry cleaner called regcure. But the internet is hella slow. I especially have trouble accessing facebook.com and some other websites. When I use the internet in safe mode with networking, it is very fast. So I guess the cause of this must still be the viruses or spywares. You guys' help will be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem but not as bad as you mentioned...

Because of that, I searched the Internet and found a few registry cleaners and tried one which more or less solved my problems. It took more than 5000 problems down to less than 100! I was totally amazed. Perhaps you might want to try that too?

Facebook is synonimis with other mesaging programs, dont have any illusions on how it can affect the spead of viruses, your best method of removal is manualy, you can probably acomplish 2 hours of work in 30 minutes given some reading.Msn is not a user frienly progam,icq, any p2p, actualy mesaging in general is bad.
