Alright guys, it’s that time again where we must take it upon ourselves to warn our less-tech savvy friends and relatives of the
dangers of the intarweb. The Storm worm is making its rounds again thanks to fake “
U.S. attacks Iran” e-mails. So, before a family member calls you to let you know we’ve invaded Iran and now their PC is acting funny, help spread the word.
Recent e-mails stating that the U.S. has already attacked Iran and, in some cases, also offering links to a video purportedly from a soldier, are not to be believed, according to Websense. The security vendor said in an advisory Wednesday that it has linked the provocative e-mails to the Storm worm.
