Spam Levels Climbing Again

Just weeks after notorious spam host McColo Corp. was shut down (consequently dropping spam levels by 65%), Message Labs is finding that spam levels are climbing again, though they aren’t as high as they once were. Sounds like they found a new host and bandwidth source, much to my inbox’s chagrin.

"The Asprox and Rustock botnets are back with a vengeance after having found new command and control," Sergeant said in a statement. "Cutwail never went away and it seems its owners have used the opportunity to increase output. Mega-D is also on the rise again, he said.
