Default please help me!

Norton's just popped up saying I have two rapidly spreading threats called W32.Esbot.A and W32.Zotob.E . What do I do? I've tried clicking protect me now, but it says it cannot protect me at this time.

Go here and dl the removal tool. Read the page for info before doing anything: http://securityresponse.symantec.com...2.zotob.e.html

Symantec also has the removal tool for W32.Esbot.A for you here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com...2.esbot.a.html

Save both logs the tools will create.

Download HijackThis from here: HijackThis download site Open HJT, click on Scan and Save Log. Post the log here in the HijackThis logs (Analyze) section.

If you don't have these 2 programs, download, install, and update before using.
Adaware SE from:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial48.html

And Spybot Search and Destroy v 1.4 from:
http://safer-networking.org/en/news/2005-05-31.html
or

Good luck!

There will come a day, such a day when all will be told more than they wish to know, what one hears may explain the past, it may explain the future, but it has never made a difference either way and it will change nothing. Some day.... But that is not this day, and I don't know when, I just don't know.

Any AV will let those thru IF the box doesn't have the current security patches, and/or IF the AV isn't fully up-to-date on defs.

People post here for help, not to be told to get rid of a currently installed program/application.
