My site passwords are gone!

I have some sites on internet expl.6 that i had as my favorites....
the first time that i logged into these sites it asked me to put my login and password in......well i checked the little box to save it for next time i wanted to go to that site ......well it has always worked but now all of a sudden all my sites lost the saved passwords in the entrance box that comes up.......whuts up with that how do i get those passwords back......i know that the sites are still active because if you type it in manually it works but i have like 40 saved site pass words that disapeared i do not want to type them all back in and then have them disapear again................know what i mean..

did you delete your cookies or temporary internet files? Or have a cleanup utility that does so? that would be why.
