Multipule Problems

I downloaded a few freeware Audio converting programs and I think they might have been containing some Mal-ware. My iTunes, Aim, Mozilla FireFox, and other programs froze leaving me to shut my computer off the bad way (holding the button to turn it on down until the comp shuts down)

And I have another question. I have TuneUp Utilities 2007 and it has 1-Click Maintenance, when I run it it scans for problems and etc, but when it's "Analyzing Problems - Searches for missing files needed by applications" it always comes up with this one:

The key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{2CCBABCB-6427-4A55-B091-49864623C43F} does not contain any data needed by Windows to remove the program or component and can be deleted.

It says it has been removed but it comes back again in later scans.

Also, for some reason some links don't work on my home computer but do at my school. I tried them in both FireFox and IE, and nothing worked.
