Message Box Spam. Not pop-up windows. HELP!!!!

I received many messsage box spam and it is very annoying than the pop-up windows. The message box will appear even I did not open the Internet Explorer. I did a couple search on Message Box Blocker software in most search engine but nothing work against it. The Novasoft company have the software I wanted but their links are dead.

Please Help!!! If there is no program available for now, at least tell me how to delete it from my C drive.

PS. I have tried www.download.com but those blocker programs only work on pop-up windows type.

what os are you running
try this

if you have windows xp
goto contorl panel
hit administrative tools
hit services
scroll all the way down to messenger
right click click hit properties

now on the general tab
where it says start up type make sure its on disabled
and where it says service status make sure it is stopped

then hit apply and ok

Good reply Lobos. The latest upgrade to MSN Messenger will automatically enable that for ads. It's not a pop-up so the pop-up killers won't work.
