hey guys i got mcafee security suite and since i installed it i jumped from about 32-34 processes up to 54 processes i checked my msconfig and all thats checked is mcafee shield, mcafee backup and mcafee log or something. what can i do to have mcafee protect my computer yet not be running so much stuff.

Mcafee is like Norton; it's a pig on processes. Avast or AVG aren't pigs on processes at all.

shoot i actually payed for this one lol cant just dump it. its not that big of a deal I guess I mean I have 2 gigs of ram its just a bit slower on startup.

Just get rid of useless stuff like the firewall. I'm sure you're behind Windows Firewall or a router, which works just as good.
